MY PROJECTS ARE AIMED AT OVERCOMING TRADITIONAL STEREOTYPES OF CONTEMPORARY DANCE, AT GOING BEYOND STAGE VENUES AND FORMS. I ACHIEVE THIS BY USING NON-CONVENTIONAL SPACES AND METHODS OF INTERACTION WITH A VIEWER
I'M MOSTLY WORKING WITH
Work in progress 2021
"I guess, at first it was a wonderful room, similar to this one, but full of miracles; and now the room and everything that was in it turned out to be closed for you, although, they were designed genuinely for you, created for you from the the very beginning. And all your life you are doomed to remember what was there."
The performance is about the experience of isolation. About buried secrets in treasure-boxes from the childhood and hidden skeletons in the closet of adulthood, about childishness of a child and about vulnerable reticence of adults, about the echo of our rooms that gradually fills everything with itself. The bull in the china shop can no longer be overlooked.

Red planet - is a multilayer fantasy about outer space and inner world. Two people asking the same questions during the whole journey: What outer space is? And why to conquer it?
...Moving outwards leads to contact with the outer world, while moving inwards brings a person to contact with himself. Or?
Idea: Ekaterina Averkova Choreography/ direction : Valeria Khripatch
The performance was created as a part of Sprava festival
The project combines topics of local and global ecology, social behavior of birds, their memory and acoustic communication, their migration routes, in comparison to Australian aborigines migration routes as they described in Bruce Chatwin's "Songlines"...
Сhoreography is developing between dreams and round dances 2018
BETWEEN SIMPLE AND COMPLICATED
Choreography/direction - Valeria Khripatch Repertoir - ОК16 «.. While sleeping a person sees from 4 to 7 dreams though he can remember just a few of them.». the past and the present, simple and complicated, imaginary or real - where are we? The level of anxiety and the level of calmness are increasing and getting lower during action...
Choreographer, director, dancer: Valeria Khripatch Is it possible to speak in a low voice and to be visible? To do the same with the help of dance? What's the duration of your patience? What about others? How to separate your body in order to be on time everywhere? Is it really necessary? I ask myself 100 similar questions every day. Am I alone with it? I would like to be ironic in my solo. Eventually, it's not funny but, maybe, lyrical?...
"I cannot call it neither contemporary dance nor performance. But it is 15 minutes action in a tragicomedy style. It is stating that everything is relative in our life. And wind blows always unexpectedly to the black side or white one. Is it bad or good?
Idea and curating: Valeria Khripatch; Performances: choreographers participating; Guides - Valeria Khripach, George Zaborsky.
A performance, in which each stop point - an art object - comes to life and is revealed through comments from guides and the corresponding dance history, created on the basis of communication with artists and observation of the process of work during its creation... The performance excursion was created as a part of the Vulica Brazil festival.
Choreographer- Valeria Khripatch Have we met?The question is only a starting point for the situation that quite often may seem awkward. Imagine a space that is limited not so much by walls as by the reason of gathering - a party, a wedding, a waiting room, a long queue, a street. And you're here. To talk or just pass by? Maybe just to smile? How to start, and from what moment the conversation ceases to be formal, and the feeling of loneliness and boredom leaves? Or vice versa...
